Storyteller Julie Pasqual presents "African and African-American Folktales." Brier Rabbit, Anansi, and the Clever Turtle are all here highlighting both African and Afro-American folktales.

Storyteller Gerald Fierst presents "The American Spirit." Program brings to life eyewitness accounts of the men and women who shaped our world. Explore the pageant of American history, including George Washington and the founding of our country; Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, visionaries of democracy; Chief Sequoah of the Cherokee Nation; Sojourner Truth and the Civil War; the Wright Brothers and the age of invention. A dynamic one-man production with costumes, scenery, and props.

Getting children to read is not always easy, but if they already know and enjoy a story they are more likely to want to read it on their own. Program is designed to encourage children to read, and consists entirely of stories which can be found in children's books.
