Carol Plum-Ucci
Young adult writer

Carol Plum-Ucci has received top literary honors for her books and numerous awards for her journalism and entertainment writing. Her first book, The Body of Christopher Creed, set in the historic woods of Southern, New Jersey, received the Michael J. Printz Honor Book Award and the book was named to the Reader’s International Children’s Choice Awards list. Her next novel, What Happened to Lani Garver, was selected as a feature book in both Seventeen and YM magazines and was named to the Best Books for Young Adults List, sponsored by the American Library Association.

These accomplished writers will discuss their well-known books for children and young adults and provide advice and guidance to aspiring writers of childhood stories in collaboration with the 18th Annual Spring Writers Conference at Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, April 8, 2006.
