Kirsten Smith
is a screenwriter & young adult author, perhaps best known for co-writing comedies Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, Ella Enganched and the upcoming Dirty Little Secret, starring Amanda Byrnes. On Thursday evening, there will be a campus screening of 10 Things I Hate About You and Kirsten will be on campus on Friday to discuss her career as a screenwriter and her new book, The Geography of Girlhood.

Lisa Rowe Fraustino
is an Assistant Professor of English at Eastern Connecticut State University
and a Visiting Associate Professor in the Hollins University Graduate Program in Children’s Literature. Her books, including The Hickory Chair, have received numerous honors for
excellence.

Lauren Grodstein
is the author of the short story collection The Best of Animals (Persea, 2002) and the novel Reproduction Is The Flaw Of Love (Dial, 2004), which was published in the U.S., Germany, Italy, Great Britain, France,

Carol Plum-Ucci
has received top literary honors for her books and numerous awards for her journalism and entertainment writing. Her first book, The Body of Christopher Creed, set in the historic woods of Southern, New Jersey, received the Michael J. Printz Honor Book Award and the book was named to the Reader’s International Children’s Choice Awards list.

Jean Marzollo
