The NJ ECE Administrator’s Credential
RUCCCS is the only institution of higher education that offers the NJ ECE Administrator’s
credential, both as a stand-alone program and as part of the ECE Administrator
track for degree seeking students. The RUCCCS NJ ECE Administrator’s Credential
was developed within the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC) and meets the NJ State mandates as stipulated through Professional Impact
New Jersey (PINJ). All coursework offered through RUCCCS is specific
to the field of early childhood education, offering our students
the highest quality preparation possible.
Interested candidates must complete the Director’s Academy (60 hour format) prior
to starting the NJ ECE Administrator’s credential process. The ECE Administrator’s
Credential can be completed through three courses at RUCCCS. The courses are
offered both as credit and non-credit options.
- Leadership through Mentoring Practice in ECE Settings
- Budget and Management in ECE Settings
- Supervision and Management in ECE Settings.
*An ECE Professional Development Plan, completed by each candidate,
is required through this program. Candidates must demonstrate the
appropriate and direct application of the theory and skills discussed
through the ECE Administrator coursework.
Coursework leading to the NJ ECE Administrator’s Credential is
offered through a regular rotation through the ECE track of the
Department of Childhood Studies. Please note, courses must be taken
