Internship Opportunities

The Center for Children and Childhood Studies (CCCS) is strongly encouraging students to participate in internships. "Internships are educational experiences which provide the opportunity to apply classroom learning to the work place, expand professional skills, test out career choices, earn money and/or academic credit." (RU-CC)
Below are internship notices we received from employers which directly relate to childhood studies; for other internships, please check with the Rutgers-Camden Career Center. For information regarding internships or to post new opportunities, please contact Nyeema Watson.

The Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) does offer intern opportunities. Availability varies office by office, dependent on current resources and existing intern commitments .  DYFS has more than forty local offices located throughout the State.  A complete listing of DYFS offices, including contact information, is available on our website at http://www.state.nj.us/dcf/contact/local.html.  Students are encouraged to contact more than just one or two offices in order to maximize their opportunities for securing an internship with DYFS.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mary Fitzgerald by e-mail or at 609-292-0547.
